Also I got hit with a TF bunny of gen Mikaela/Sam/Bee that involves girl's night out (as in, one of those beauty chains where every girl's getting pampered by the one behind them, except I guess that Sam an' Mikaela an' Bee'd have to rotate every once and a while because it's hard to do with only three people), but anything I can think of sounds incredibly OC and/or dumb! Speaking of elections, does anyone else think that the Conservatives got possessed by a bunch of five year-olds? They're using potty/really bad humour against the other parties. And Harper not letting Elizabeth May into the Leader's argument thing was like the little boy club that won't let girls in because they might have cooties. Despite the exact same thing happening with his old party before they merged with the Conservatives (whose name has completely fallen out of my head. It starts with an r, right? Reform?).

Plus that wasn't very smart of Layton, either. Psssh!

Actually, now that I think of it, I've only seen Conservative ads ~~with Harper's creepy smile~~ and none from the other parties. Maybe I'm just missing them all!

Tru fax, Harper: you're breaking your own rules and then whining when people actually follow them. Please grow up if you want to be a real PM of the country. Which you probably won't, as this'll just turn into another minority government. So HAH.

ETA: The Green Party's website isn't looooooading how am I supposed to make an intellectual choice without seeing their platform? D: ~~Also the NDP opening page reminds me of a dairy commercial, for some odd reason.~~ And here's a question: if you want to be a politician, do you have to wait for the guy that's in your riding to retire? Is it possible to have too many politicians in a party?

ETA²: Okay, the Green Party's website takes forever to load, and now I can't get to their platform page. The Liberals don't even have a platform page, from what I can see; they're pointing fingers at the Conservatives (like they always do), and they have huge articles which probably do have piece of the platforms, but I'm a teenager, I don't have the patience to read through all the political babble. The NDP have got it down; they've got everything they stand for as buttons, and when you click on one it sends you to a more detailed description of what that part of their platform means.

To be fair, I put up with going to the Tories's website, and it looks like they've got their plan mapped out pretty well too (with helpful check marks for all their points and big x's for where the other parties fail at that key point they're talking about). The rotating pictures of Harper at the top doesn't improve my feelings towards the party, though. :<

Aaaand now the Green's platform works, yay! Looks like it's set up really well too. So I guess just the Liberals fail at platform stuff.

ETA³: Guys, I feel like a stupid idiot who shouldn't call herself a history lover. I seriously though Sir John A. Macdonald was a Liberal! But he was a Conservative! World: just totally flipped.

And Sir Wilfred Laurier's buried in Ottawa! Hot diggity dog I kinda want to go see the statue they've got over his grave, 'cause it looks huge. Mackenzie King's in Toronto, Trudeau's in Quebec, and Macdonald's in Kingston; I think those're all the PMs graves I'd like to see. Which is pretty sad, seeing that I've been to three of the four places and I didn't go see them! Shame on me shame shame.

So I finished the Tamora Pierce book I was reading! Now, I can either read House of Many Ways or another Tamora Pierce one, and usually I'd be totally leaning towards Mrs. Wynne Jones, but the older sister has been begging me to read it, and for some reason I feel like putting her in suspense.

So I guess it winds down to: annoy the sister, or read a new book?

IDK BFFS.

So, Hamlet's out now in Stratford-upon-Avon and the BBC DW prom was today. It is pretty depressing that I won't/wasn't able to see either! Because it seems everyone's been reviewing the Hamlet, and it's mostly been about how DT looks (which really, I don't really much care about. At all.) and nothing about the technicalities or the director's little spins on the play. I wanna know about how they did the ghost scene! Did the fencing look like absolute rubbish, or was it decently realistic! Were any bits of scenes cut out or moved and little things like that!

Although I still love Freema to bits, since she's all 'eeek I'm nervous' in the Prom. Oh Freema, you darling thing. <3 There was a slight panic attack, since BBC Radio 3 refused to play the proms for me despite Real Player being on my computer, so I just torrented it. They played Jupiter! And All The Strange Strange Creatures! Just just ;sdlkfjsd;lkfjdfkjh NOT FAIR.

I really hope that one day, they'll put out all of Mr. Gold's music out for the public to purchase and play. Because, really. I haven't been playing my flute at all, because I've got no one to play with and nowhere to play it (I don't like playing in front of my family after that time I was stressed out for my final in Music and they were laughing every time I messed up. It wasn't mean laughter, but still. kafdjfklasdjfd do not need). And yeah. None of the music stores nearby have any sheet music just for flutes that I'd like to play.

For Katie: There's a Lee in here, under 'Donna' and 'What if?' I figured you'd want to know. <33 Pretty sure it's the second one! (there's another one too, but he's just mentioned on the side)

And a double note: there are no angsty Blue and Rose fics. There's one that has them on a slightly shaky position at the end, but most end happy if not a bit melancholy. This is because while I read a lot of angsty R&B and they were brill, I'd like to be optimistic and think that they would eventually work it out. Because Blue is still the Doctor, and Rose is still Rose, and there's no doubt in my mind that they'll be fantastic together.

This is also the reason that all Donna!Death fics are in the angst folder. I think that the potential for Donna is still there, and that her dying and not even being able to use that potential is about a thousand times worse than her life cutting short and not being able to help more. This is why I'd like to think the Doctor took her memories away; because he knew and had trust in the awesomeness that is Donna Noble.

So it's four in the morning and I just came back from the library after dropping off s2 of Doctor Who so I won't have a fine because they technically were due yesterday but thanks to them not being open I'm in the grace of the assumption I dropped them off during said yesterday.

BUT! That is not the point of this blabbering about! Nonononono, I just got hit in the head with a (metaphorical) brick and I don't know why these kinds of things can't come at a sane time of day but since the dawn of time they've seemed to work like that so I can't really blame anything. Well, except I can. Which I will. Later. Maybe.

The point! The point of this entire thing! Is the fact that Donna made it physically impossible to forget the Doctor. Sure, he wiped her brain so she couldn't remember dash-all about him, but apparently he forgot the fact that she travelled the world looking for him. Now, I don't know about the next person, but travelling the world in search for a man (or alien) would take a rather long amount of time, don't you think? So that's at least four or five months gone from Donna's life that she won't remember. Plus, her own dad died during that time! Will she have forgotten that? What about all the people she met during that time? What about HC Clements and Lance? There's photographic evidence, and at least one video tape, and newspapers.

Not to mention all the research she did looking for other aliens to lead to him: all that information, tucked away until she might need it. Of course, in this day and age, most of it's going to be digital, which'll make it rather easy for Wilf and Sylvia to erase and keep from her, but the chances of her having at least a few hard copies of information is high enough. And what will Donna Noble, the best temp in London do then, with months of her life missing and everyone acting odd and people she'd never met knowing her and a big fat chunk of money missing from travelling she'd never done? She'd do exactly what we've seen her do all season: latch on like a terrier to the pant leg of a postal worker, and not let her stubbornness give out until she had answers. And who's to say that she might subconsciously remember it all? After all, the mind's a strange place to be in, and the Doctor's never seemed to be that meddling with them. So Donna Noble might regain her memories again, and she might die from the overload of having a Time Lord brain in a human head, but I think, if anything, that's how she'd want to go.

Not with a whimper, but a bang.

In other news, Canada Day = ftw! Even if there was next to nothing to do Downtown. I was part of a living flag! And we got ice cream! And the fireworks were pretty kickass! And I think I'm going to need to take a pyrotechnics class from the government, since now I can! ~~WOO HOO~~ Plus Zackie Ibraham(sp?) sounds preeeeetty look her uuuup meeee~

Um yeah that's about it. I need to write up a resume so I can, y'know, get a job. And have some money. I need to start thinking about retiring! Must put away 1000$ this year into my savings! orz
